    Portraits

    Portraying an individual is an attempt to capture the essence, character and personality of that person, and to gain a level of comfort with me being there pointing my camera. Over the years I have photographed people who have everything, and people who have nothing, but my way is to treat them the same, to gain their trust and hopefully to bring out the true person.

    Slice of Life

    I love to photograph people going about their lives, and being there to capture “real life” in “real time” from the perspective of a fly on the wall. Whether this be commercially or for personal work, it is the opportunity of being there, and the privilege of being asked to capture what I see that inspires me.

    Food and Restaurants

    Shooting a “chefs work” on a plate is a specialism in itself. Chefs put a great deal of time and thought into their dishes, and I try to emulate that by putting that same care, quality and attention to detail in the process of capturing that dish.
